Former Park Hotel Alexandra is reopened by Chip Eng Seng under the Momentus name
Momentus Hospitality, a Chip Eng Seng Group subsidiary which opened its first hotel under the Momentus Hotels & Resort brand on the 1st of March.
This 442-key property was previously managed under the name Park Hotel Alexandra by Park Hotel Group. The hotel shut down in August 2022, pending renovations and was transformed into Momentus Hotel Alexandra.
The Myst condominium has been acquired for S$126.3 million, the residential development is 16,630 sq ft and is in a prime location.
Momentus Hospitality is wholly-owned by the CES-Ariva Hospitality company, which is a joint venture venture that is 70:30 that is owned by Chip Eng Seng and Ariva Hospitality. According to a March 1 press announcement, Momentus Hospitality was established in 2022 as an element of Chip Eng Seng’s plans to expand its operations in its expansion plans in the Asia Pacific region.
“We are thrilled that Momentus is launching in Singapore. Momentus brand story begins at Singapore,” remarks Angeline Tan, vice-president at CES Hospitality. Tan adds: “I believe this is the beginning of an exciting adventure for the Momentus brand that allows guests to make Moments by working with us.”
Interior design firm KKS International led the redesign of the property with an upgraded lobby area, remodeled rooms, fresh F&B menus, and the Momentum Club Lounge on the 19th floor. Momentus Hospitality also highlights that the newly renovated hotel features eco-friendly elements, like smart thermostats with digital controls throughout the hotel and filtration taps that provide drinking water and using biodegradable products for dry bathroom items.
“Our aim is to provide high-quality and innovative tourism experiences for travelers and to become one of Asia’s most reputable hospitality companies,” says Dino Lim the general manager of Momentus Hospitality.
